Present Continuous Tense (I am doing)

1. Present continuous tense digunakan untuk menyatakan peristiwa yang sedang berlangsung pada masa sekarang.

Pola Kalimat :

(+) Subject + (is/am/are)+verb-ing+object

(-) Subject + (is/am/are) +not+verb-ing+object

(?) (is/am/are) + Subject +verb-ing+object

for example :

- I am listening to the radio now.

- He is still ill but he is getting better showly.

- These days food are becoming more and more expensive.

- Is he writing a letter?

2. Present continuous tense digunakan untuk menyatakan peristiwa yang berlangsung dalam bentang waktu yang meliputi masa sekarang. For Example :

- We are not playing football this season.

- Yanti is working hard today.

3. Present continuous tense digunakan untuk menyatakan kebiasaan yang bersifat sementara. for example :

- We are waiting for the bus.

- They are studying english history this semester.

Fungsi lain present contonuous tense untuk menyatakan situasi-situasi yang berubah. For Example :

- The population of the world is rising very fast.

- Is his health getting better?
